trap music museum

Our Mission

The Trap Music Museum in Atlanta is a unique interactive museum that celebrates and explores the story of the trap-music genre, a style of hip-hop that emerged in the U.S. South and has since become globally influential.

The museum was founded by T.I. (also known as Tip) and business partner William “Bem” Sparks, understanding the genre’s roots in Atlanta and wanting to preserve and share that story.

Trap Museum Atlanta

Visiting the Trap Music Museum is more than just checking off another attraction, it gives you insight into a major music movement rooted in Atlanta, places you in the culture rather than simply reading about it, and offers a fun, memorable stop that many other cities don’t have. If you’re in the city, it’s a strong recommendation to include it in your itinerary.
